It's May. May is the month that we renew our commitment to our cause. It is the month of Ronan's birth, and the anniversary of his death. Last year, Maya, our Founder, was fundraising for to run a marathon without training. She impressed us all with her determination and success. This year, not even a month ago, the Thompsons welcomed the arrival of their baby girl, Poppy Ronan Thompson. There will be no marathons without training. Instead, to kick off our May fundraising, a wonderful man, Jim Fry, is doing a crazy thing to benefit the Foundation. He is riding in Haute Route, a 7 day bike race through mountains and many hundreds of miles in Ronan's name. And by no coincidence, the race takes place in September, at the very beginning of Pediatric Cancer Awareness month.

How Do I Register?
It is very important that you register through us! Please visit http://www.firstgiving.com/theRonanThompsonFoundation/rockstar-run Click the Green REGISTER button. Once your registration is complete, you will have access to your very own custom fundraising site where you can upload photos, share your story and tell your friends and family why you are raising money. Everyone who receives this link, can easily donate and help you raise your minimum goal of $1000!
How Much is it to Register?
The registration fee is $165
How Much Money Do I Need to Raise?
To join us and RUN LIKE A ROCKSTAR, the minimum fundraising requirement is $1,000.
Can I Choose the Full or Half Marathon?
Yes!
What if I don't live in Arizona or can't run the marathon, but still want to participate and help raise money?
You can register as a "Virtual Runner" and choose to either "run" the full marathon and raise $1000 or the 1/2 marathon and make a commitment to raise $500. Both options will allow you to set up your custom fundraising site!
Will I Get A T-Shirt?
Of Course! (And it will be rad.)

How do I train?
We recommend you check with the experts: Hal Higdon Marathon Training
for a suggested training schedule. As a registered runner, you'll also receive helpful information, mileage calendars and invitations to local training activities and group runs. You are NOT alone in this and we are here to help encourage you in every way possible!
Can I Register as a Team?
Sure! Each member needs to raise the $1,000 minimum.
If My Team or I Raise Crazy Money, Is There a Prize?
Now that you ask, yes! Prizes for top fundraisers are a secret. And they're awesome.

Join us for the first annual Body Lab Pilates-a-thon. Beginning at 7 a.m., our Pilates instructors will lead participants in a 50-minute class designed for students of all levels. This five-hour event will include five 50-minute long classes, each starting on the hour. Members and non-members can sign up for as many classes as they like, with a commitment of raising, or donating, a minimum of $250 per class that they attend.
No experience is necessary, but be prepared for the most dynamic heart pounding, shirt drenching workout you have ever had!

Join us Saturday, October 13th from 4 p.m. until 6 p.m. for a workshop forcused on Pranayama breathing, alignment and arm balances. The workshop is $40 and 100% of the funds collected will be donated directly to The Ronan Thompson Foundation.
Post-wrokshop, joing us for a complimentary wine and cheese courtesy of Postino Wine Cafe.

Wear purple, be sparkly, feisty and fun! Do something nice for someone else. Be wild and free. Be kind. Help others. Let some balloons go. Hold on tight to the ones you love. Never let them go.
Think of Ronan.
Take this one day and be grateful for all that you have. Don't complain about a thing. Play outside. Get muddy. Get dirty. Be daring. Be adventurous. Hug more. Kss longer. Laugh louder.

Ronan's lovie of the month...
Colleen is the mom of four young boys – including twins – ages 4-8, and lives in Chevy Chase, Md., just outside of Washington, DC. It was the summer of 2011 when she stumbled on Maya's blog. She was up til 2 am, in bed, sobbing, hugging her kids when she realized she had a calling. She wanted to help. But, how?
